Stacy Barthe is a Brooklyn-born songwriter with Haitian roots. She has penned songs for top acts including Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Rihanna (“Cheers”).  The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter’s vocals can also be heard on “Sorry,” T.I.’s collaboration with André 3000. She has already released three EP’s including last year’s In The Inbetween.  Her latest single featuring Rick Ross premiered on popular blog Rap-Up:

...”Hell Yeah” a soulful record produced by K. Roosevelt of Hit-Boy’s HS87 camp.

The Brooklyn native shares her pain and imagines a brighter tomorrow as she reflects on the harsh realities of the world, while Rick Ross remains optimistic on his guest verse.

“We’re just trying to live right with the devil all in the way,” sings Stacy. “They say we livin’ in hell here, hell yeah/ When will all this senseless violence end? When will it be safe for people to live again?”

The song is set to appear on her upcoming EP P.S. I Love You, due on Valentine’s Day.
