Essence Magazine’s annually anticipated “Most Eligible Bachelors” list is included in the pages of the Magazine’s November 2012 issue and making the coveted list is Caribbean media maven, Frederick A. Morton, Jr. AKA Mr. Tempo.
The 44 year old Montclair New Jersey resident was born in St. Croix USVI to Nevisian parents. He earned a law degree from Rutgers University and a Masters degree in Public Administration from Columbia University.
He told the magazine his biggest accomplishment was pitching the network to MTV while working there as an executive.
Since acquiring ownership of the Caribbean network, his built the company to the point where things are stale and he wants to settle down.
So who is his ideal woman?
A natural woman with class. He says:
“I like natural beauty and not a lot of makeup. A woman that is having a good time but not backin’ it up on everybody. That’s my style.”
The other 14 bachelors included a computer engineer, a builder, a self-made millionaire, a retired NFLer, and an actor. Most of the candidates are in their 30s, three are in their late 20′s and the youngest is a 24 year-old math teacher from New York.
