Many Dominicans, especially those in the entertainment arena are in a state of grief after learning of the death of local DJ and promoter Alwin Robin AKA DJ Bullet. The owner of Club DVD sound system and music store of same name, was found shot execution style in a building in Cedar Village Antigua this morning.
With his tagline of “Big Bad Sound” Club DVD elevated the production of shows to another level in Dominica- and I am referring to the sound. His company was booked for gigs from small workshops to big stage shows such as Creole In The Park and World Creole Music Festival. In April of last year he partnered with LIME to open a franchise store in Weirs, Marigot. Alwin and his company was also known for sponsoring events around the island.
When I first moved back to Dominica, I remember someone recommending him for some business and after I made my pitch his first reply was “What’s in it for me.” I was like woah- He just cut to the damn chase. (‘ve learned a thing or two about making pitches since then BTW) Suffice it to say he was a business man. I just hope that he shrewdness did not rub someone the wrong way.
Also found with Alwin and shot execution style was Alix Riviere, a Dominican who resided in Antigua.

Both men were in their 30s. R.I.P to them both and prayers go out to their families
