On Wednesday September 26, Rihanna will preview her seventh album (in as many years) with her brand new single “Diamonds.” The song will be launched on EST on Z100’s “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” and other Clear Channel radio stations at 8:00 a.m. and will be available on iTunes an hour later.
Word has it the the track was produced produced by Norwegian hitmaking duo Stargate with whom she’s collaborated on chart-toppers including “Don’t Stop the Music,” “Only Girl (in the World)” and “What’s My Name”) and written by Benny Blanco, and Sia.

While in Las Vegas for her headlining set at the iHeartRadio Music Festival last weekend, the Bajan pop star shared her thoughts on “Diamonds” with Duran, calling it “happy and hippie.”
She added: “It gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive . . . And I just think the gears are a little different from what people would expect, I think; and I’m excited about that, I’m excited to surprise them sonically.”
Rihanna opened the 2012 MTV VMA‘s – where she won the night’s biggest award, Video Of The Year for “We Found Love,” and is now in the running for six MTV EMA‘s and one MOBO award.
She is set to kick off her Diamonds World Tour 2013 at the Niagara Center in Buffalo on March 8, 2013, with North American dates scheduled through May 4th at the new Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn.
…and now moving on to her to err more personal matters. Riri tweeted her well wishes to her ex-Chris Brown who yesterday went before a judge who was reviewing his probation performance.
“@chrisbrown I’m praying for you and wishing u the best today!,” Rihanna tweeted.
Chris tweeted back his thanks:
“@rihanna: @chrisbrown I’m praying for you and wishing u the best today!” : thank u so much.”
During the hearing it was revealed that Brown failed a drug test in Virginia. He claims he had a medial marijuana prescription for its use in California. Smoking weed is illegal in his homestate of Virginia which is where he was fulfilling his court-ordered community service.
He seems to be in good favour with the judge who although he is on probation (and expected to obey the laws of the land I assume)said she she did not ban him for drugs, (translation: technically he could get away with it.)
Wow…
Wish she had issued a ‘do not put tattoos of a face that looks like your battered ex on your neck’ ban
BTW Chris is reportedly on the market again…. we’ll see how that develops.
