DOMINICA: Mr. Vegas, Benjai and Kerwin Dubois for LIME Creole In The Park 2012

Jamaican dancehall star Mr. Vegas and longtime soca favorites Benjai and Kerwin Dubois (of Trinidad) will perform at the 10th annual LIME Creole in the Park (CITP) which runs rom October 22 – 25 2012.

The pre-independence daytime fete has also served as a springboard for rising new local acts and always ensures to highlight those in the calypso arena with a segment that is always well received.

This year’s lineup includes bands WCK, Triple K, Swinging Stars, Midnight Groovers and solo acts like rising dancehall singjay Colton T and Q 95 talent search winner Asher Thomas. Arguably the fastest rising artist from the Nature Island for 2012, Asa Banton will be there to rock the crowd. If you’re wondering how he got on the lineup? He knows people who know people. LOL.

The show which originally saw patrons paying as little as EC$2 to enter in its early stages, now costs EC$5 for days 1 to 3 and $10 for day four.

But the proceeds go to charity guys so its all worth it.

BTW Grenadians Tallpree, Shortpree and Lavaman will be mashing up the Botanical Gardens with their Jab-Jab flava!
