To keep fans in the loop, Alicia Keys has been posting video blogs of her recording and promotion efforts for her latest album Girl On Fire due November 27th. The singer, who launched the album’s first single and title track at the 2012 MTV VMA’s posted a new video diary entry dubbed ‘Journey To Girl On Fire: A Night In the Studio’ Wednesday night on her official website.
She’s also recorded her segment for VH1′s “Storytellers”.
Alicia revealed that when recording her verses for the NYC anthem “Empire State of Mind” with Jay-Z she “felt some kinda way” when the perfectionist rapper asked her to re-record her parts.
She also dished about her 2 year old son Egypt (his father is producer Swizz Beatz), working with Kanye West and John Legend in their early professional days.
Alicia’s “Storytellers” airs Monday, November 12th at 11pm ET/PT on VH1.
