Homeboy can saaaaang!!!!
Queens native Trevin Hunte totally impressed the judges on the new season of NBC’s reality singing competition The Voice with his rendition of Beyonce’s “Listen”!
The 18 year old whose parents are from Guyana said he was bullied as a kid and even discouraged to pursue a singing a career.
Trevin definitely doesn’t need their approval after getting judges Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton to turn their chairs around )Adam Levine did not) to convince Hunte to join their respective teams. Despite Aguilera and Shelton’s standing ovations, it was Green that Hunte ultimately chose.
Anyhow don’t just take my word for it. Check out Trevin below:
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC at 8/7c
Side note: Another singer of Caribbean heritage auditioned for another competition with the same song and won. Hope Trevin has the same luck!!!
