Trinimerican designer Anya Ayoung Chee has been selected to show at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Africa 2012 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Project Runner Season 9 winner shared the good news with her Facebook fans:
“I am so thrilled and excited! I had such an amazing day yesterday that was full full full of LOVE. Thank you to all of you who continue to support me and send love from all over the world. I am truly blessed,” wrote Anya.
She also posted part of her letter from the organizers Africa Fashion International (AFI), which said that she was chosen from a record-breaking pool of over 90 designers.

The Mercedez Benz Fashion Week Africa will run from October 24 to 28. AFI owns and operates Africa’s leading fashion events Joburg Fashion Week, Cape Town Fashion Week, Africa Fashion Week, Africa Fashion Awards and Africa Fashion Trade Expo.
