Yes my people, once again Trinimerican reality star Karlie Redd was caught in a white lie on camera. On the last episode of Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta, she gets called out by on-camera boyfriend Benzino for hooking up with an artist her mother wanted her to link up with. That artist was Machel Montano who is a BORN AND BRED Trinidadian. Miss Karlie gave Benzino the impression she was hooking up with some Jamaicans and when he put that ish under her nose hear her nuh:
“Jamaican…Trini same thing”
I’m sorry what?? Who does she tink watches this show?? ATLians??? ..and even the ATL has a large Caribbean population.
On top of that Benzino is a rapper and former editor of The Source magazine…. I would think he knows the difference between Trini and Jamaican.

Benzino hit up the Breakfast Club to talk about their relationship. He implied that they had met before the show. Which confirmed my suspicion that the show is scripted. The met off camera and basically had to pretend to meet for the camera.
Before she got the key, it had probably be like two months…It was a couple of months before I gave her the key
Karlei’s musical career had been a point of contention with the two of them. When they are together Benzino wants to just romance and be romanced whereas Karlie wants to talk about her fledgling career. To his credit Benzino hooked her up with Lady Gaga’s manager Vince Herbert and set up a hot photoshoot for her. when asked about her talent, Benzino said:
“Karlie, you know what she does the Patois really good. She’s from Trinidad. You know she has a voice, you know what I’m saying. A lot of singing out here is auto-tuned up anyways…I think definitely producers can work with her. She let me hear a lot of her music and stuff…I believe she has talent”
