Congrats to Miss St. Kitts, Trevecia Adams, was crowned Miss Caribbean Culture Queen 2012 Monday night at Nevis Culturama. She won with a total of 1826 points and also captured Best Ambassadorial Wear and Best Evening Wear.
First runner-up went to Miss Curacao, Marvia Laurence, who with a total of 1820 points captured the Best Interview segment. Miss St. Lucia Louise Victor won the second runner-up position and Best Swimsuit with a total of 1785 points. Miss St. Croix Sheniece Massiah who tallied 1706 points landed in the third runner-up position.
Other awards were as follows:
Best Performing & Miss Photogenic – Miss Montserrat,Claris Yearwood (425 points)
Best Promotional Video – Miss Barbados, Jamilah Forde
Miss Amity – Miss Anguilla, Marejah Smith
Nevis represented by the 2011/2012 Miss Culture Queen Santonnya Mills. This year the Dominican Republic and Curacao took part in the pageant for the first time.
The theme for this year was ‘Culturally yours’, and it was used as a means of motivating each participating territory to present its country’s finest and most creative attributes and talents in the visual and performing arts.
The reigning Miss Caribbean Culture was Miss St. Lucia, Oneka Mckoy.
This is the second time St. Kitts is capturing the title, as it was won by former National Carnival Queen, Mariece Roberts in 2009.
