Tanya Lacey is a British singer and songwriter of Antiguan heritage.
She is currently working on the release of her EP Head Chef due September 17 and hopes to shot her next video in Antiga where she spent part of her childhood.
Tanya who co-wrote will.i.am’s T.H.E (The Hardest Ever) which features Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger, recently sealed a publishing deal with BMG Chrysalis and has written for various artists including Bajan quartet Cover Drive.
Speaking of Barbados, she says she wants to do for Antigua what Rihanna has done for her homeland.
“I think it’s such a beautiful country. I mean people know about it but not as much as they do other places like Barbados. So I’d really love to get Antigua out there on the map more, it has so much to offer.” – Tanya in an interview with TaleTela.
Some of her musical influences ainclude s hip hop/soul, reggae and drum n bass.
