The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards are just over a month away and we have the full list of nominees as well as the Caribbean celebs who made the cut!
Rihanna’s video for ”We Found Love” is up for Video of the Year, Best Female Video, Best Pop Video as well as Best Visual Effects, while “Where Have You Been” is nominated for Best Choreography award. Drake’s ”Take Care” video on which she features is listed in four categories:Video of the Year, Best Male Video, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography. And it does not stop there… Rihanna is featured in Coldplay’s “Princess of China” video which is vying for the Best Direction Award. That makes for a total of 10 awards the Bajan superstar could walk away with.
Trinidad-American femcee Nicki Minaj is nominated in two categories: Best Hip-Hop album (“Beez In The Trap”) and Best Female Video (“Starships”)
Our Latin celebs, Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull (“Dance Again”) are up against Rihanna in the Best Choreography category.
You can vote for your favorites online at vma.mtv.com or m.mtv.com via mobile. Voting for Best New Artist can be done by texting BNA to 22444 or by visiting MTV’s official Facebook page. Texts will automatically enter voters into a sweepstakes to win a trip to the 2012 VMA’s.
Voting for all VMA categories, except Best New Artist, will end on August 24 at 6 p.m. ET.
