Caribbean music distributors 21st Hapilos Digital has taken a significant step that promises to boost the global profile of gospel/inspirational music from the region.
According to a release from the company:
“The distribution of Gospel music has always been a part of 21st Hapilos Digital Distribution, but our Gospel clients were growing increasingly concerned that their work was being overshadowed by the other genres of music that we have been distributing. They spoke, we responded and 21st Hapilos Gospel was born. 21st Hapilos Gospel is a division within distribution heavyweight 21st Hapilos Digital, that has been established to market, promote and distribute Gospel and Caribbean Inspirational music. This division will provide an avenue for wholesome Christian and family entertainment and will allow more focus to be placed on the artistes and producers of this genre.”
According to Executive Vice President of 21st Hapilos Digital Distribution, Johnny Wonder, 21st Hapilos “is already putting out Gospel albums with the likes of Omari, Rolando Blake, Murphy Productions to name a few. Be it Gospel, or Caribbean Inspirational, We’ve been working with them and saw that we needed an avenue to really shine the spotlight on their work.”
Plans are underway for 21st Hapilos Gospel to host a Show in an effort to showcase artistes and entities associated with this genre of music and to provide another entertainment outlet suitable for the entire family.
21st Hapilos Digital Distribution is is the record label and distribution arm of Hapilos Entertainment Group which also includes Hapilos Teens.
