Jody-Ann Gray a reporter on Jamaica’s Kool FM who was shot outside her St. Catherine home in early April while she was seven months pregnant, gave birth yesterday.
According to Jamaica Observer, she gave birth to a baby girl in an overseas hospital and both mother and child are doing well.
Gray had to have emergency surgery to remove a bullet loged in her throat. The child was unharmed in the attack which took place as she was exiting her vehicle. Quick action by the police in the area, resulted in the arrest of three men, one of whom was Gray’s co-worker Wayne White, the alleged father of her unborn baby.
White and his accomplice Safari Farr have since been charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition and shooting with intent.Police are still looking for a third man who escaped. They were held in a motorcar registered to White’s wife. The license plates were covered with cardboard, police say.
Still don’t get why he was not charged with attempted murder.
Glad that she and baby are well.
