Uh-oh!! R&B crooner Maxwell was forced to cancel his three-city US tour after developing vocal cord edema and a vocal cord hemorrhage. Under doctor’s orders, the singer (whose Caribbean roots hail from Haiti and Puerto-Rico) has to go under vocal rest.
He released a statement saying “I’ve temporarily damaged my voice. I’ve had issues before during other tours, but was able to power through. I’ve been strongly advised to rest and undergo treatment.”
The cities on the tour were Atlanta, Los Angeles and Newark.
Hopefully he will recover by the time his new album, blackSUMMERS’night, is released later this year.

Rohan Marley posted pics of himself and his football-player son Nico at Tulane University where they met with the coaching staff.
He tweeted:
We’re on a little visit @ Tulane University @Nico2Marley wants to see all his options #Football being that they offered first .. 1yr to go..
Nico, a 5-foot-7, 165-pound linebacker/safety out of Weston, FL, has one year left at Cypress Bay High School. He follows in the footsteps of his father who also played high school ball and eventually went on to join University of Miami team as a linebacker.
Hmm.. hope when this kid gets his scholarship we don’t get no “give it up” comments like Misa Hylton-Brim’s son Christian did. If he earned it, I say let him keep it.
Good luck Nico!!
