Chris Brown is reportedly cooperating with NYPD detectives during their investigation of his bottle-throwing bral with rapper Drake early Thursday morning SoHo’s W.i.P. nightclub that left Brown with a cut chin, NBA star Tony Parker with a scratched cornea and other club-goers with minor injuries.
Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos has been very vocal his stance that brown was a victim in the fracas, allegedly started over Rihanna who dated both Brown and Drake.
“Chris, Karrueche (Brown’s current girlfriend), and his friends were victims of a brutal attack last night at WIP,” he said in a statement. “They sustained several injuries. Chris and his party are cooperating with NY authorities who are pursuing this incident further.”
According to NY Daily news, police has turned their focus on Drake and tracking down witnesses to support claims Drake, 25, set off the club fracas .
TMZ reported that Drake has also been cooperating with authorities, although it’s not clear if he gave an official statement to cops.
Meantime, Chris Brown shot down rumors that rapper Meek Mill was also involved in the incident tweeting:
“Me and @MeekMill aint on that bullsh-t. Real respect real…”
The Maybach Music Group rapper later retweeted Brown’s comment, adding:
“Naw we just getting money! Rt @chrisbrown: Me and @MeekMill aint on that bullsh-t. Real respect real…”
While Meek Mill and Brown have buried the hatchet (if there ever was one), the Fortune singer is not too happy with the media. Seems he thinks he is being made to look like the bad guy.
Taking to his favorite forum to vent his frustrations he tweeted:
