The worldwide release of the official release Jamaica 50 theme song “On A Mission took place at 4:15PM today June 15 via simulcast on all radio and television stations in Jamaica and internationally.
Robert Bryan, Project Director of the Jamaica 50 Secretariat announced that the release was done in partnership with Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) a National Sponsor of Jamaica 50.
“When we first approached the KFC team there was absolutely no hesitation. From the very outset the team synchronized with us as they saw the big picture and it was a go right from the start. There was and continues to be a level of positivity, vibes, and oneness”, says Bryan.
The Song produced by Orville ‘Shaggy’ Burrell features some of Jamaica’s best-known international and local artistes who all gave of their talent and services free of cost. Featured in the song are Chevelle Franklin, Damian Marley, Beres Hammond, Romain Virgo, ‘Shaggy’ Tarus Riley, Wayne Marshall, Assasin and Tessanne Chin.
