While Rihanna was somewhere else in the Big Apple, rappers Drake, Meek Mill and Chris Brown were involved in a fight at a New York night club that resulted in several injuries to members of the artists parties as well as innocent bystanders— all over the “We Found Love” singer.
A little back ground for those of you who don’t know. Rihanna dated Drake. That happened after she and Chris Brown ended their relationship after a domestic abuse incident in 2009 resulting in a restraining order against him, which was eventually lifted. Now rumors had been swirling that Brown and Rihanna had gotten back together, further inginted by their musical reunion on two singles. The reunion was seemingly short-lived as a leaked freestyle done by Brown, supposedly was a disss to Rihanna which she didn’t take to kindly too. Now Rihanna attended Meek Mills birthday celebration at a strip club and rumours started that those two were dating. Chris Brown pulled Meek off a track becuase of their relationship (whatever that was/is). Anyhooo come Memorial Day Rihanna and her ex-Drake are spotted getting close in a Miami Club. Just this past weekend, Rihanna and C-Breezy were partying in the same club igniting reunion talk once more. BTW Chris does have a girlfriend eh, Kaerruche Tran. Are you guys keeping up?
Anyways back to the fight- the backstory makes sense here, I promise.
So celebs Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Fabolous, Meek Mill, Mary J Blige and basketballer Tony Parker are at SOHO district club WIP (the bottom level of Green House). Some are there for Teyanna Taylor’s G.O.O.D Music signing, some for Javon Smith (Ne-Yo’s manager) birthday party.
According to New York’s Daily News, the violence started when Brown (in a ‘gesture of good will’) sent over a bottle of champagne to Drake’s table. The Toronto-born rapper returned in with a note reading, “I’m still f—— Rihanna” — and all hell broke loose.
Drake ran into the bathroom once the fracas started-hello? You started it!
NYPD arrived on the scene after receiving a call between 4 and 5am. Chris and Drake were not present when cops arrived.
Chris Brown’s girlfriend was rushed out of the club. She tweeted: “Wreckless love I tell you”

Chris who had a gash on his chin instagramed a photo of the bruise (see above) with the following caption:
Bottles? It’s nothing! Lol. Ni**as is pu**y! How u party wit a rich ni**a that hate? Lol…. Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!
He also took to Twitter where he tweeted:
Ni**as throwing bottles! Y’all ni**az weak!
Ok! Ni**as stand behind security!!!! Ok! U don’t pay them enough!
Ni**as hiding in the bathroom b-tch ass ni**as! And I’m the singer?
Meek Mill, is refuting reports that he egged Drake on stating
It wasn’t me…. (shaggy voice) lol
Followed by a tweetgram he posted on instagram that said,
‘That p–sy must be goooooooooooood lol’
By the time the police arrived Drake and C-Breezy had already left the club. Five other people suffered lacerations from shards of shattered glass.
Chris Brown’s bodyguard who was seriously injured with a headwound was taken to Bellevue hospital.
A tourist from Australia named Hollie spoke with TMZ about the melee, stating:
Within a few moments of noticing glass being thrown around, I saw a glass bottle headed towards me; consequently hitting me in the head. I immediately started to bleed and proceeded to fall in and out of consciousness. [After she left the hospital] I had to take the subway home with no money or jacket. Nobody would even sit beside me. My friends were so scared because they did not know where I was.”
