The video for Shazelle’s “State of Emergency” is finally here!!! Woop-woop-woop-woop! (you’ll get it after hearing the song LOL). The single was written by Shazelle (born Shazelle Gobin) and produced by Mark Cyrus of St. Vincent. Jamaican dancehall star Beenie Man jumped on this track with the Trinidad beauty for a true Caribbean collaboration. Shazelle said she was inspired by going through an actual state of emergency, which was declared by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar in August 2011. Love you Shazelle but it would have been nice to see some siren lights in di ting. Still a good look though.
