STOP TEIF: Kartel orderd to pay promoter $15 Million in damages

Adidja Vybz kartel Palmer has been ordered by the Supreme Court judge Martin Gayle to pay Jamaican promoter Alton Salmon JA$15 Million in damages for his failure perform at a concert in Turks and Caicos islands in August 2009.

According to Salmon there was a riot at the venue when people found out that Kartel would be a no-show. He had already been paid US$8500 of the agreed US$18000 performance fee which was arranged via verbal agreement. Kartel was served on Dece 23rd 2009 but did not make any attempt to respond to the suit.

Salmon was awarded $15 million in damages with interest for his losses including loss of profit and loss of reputation.
