Rihanna for VIP private New Year’s Eve performace in Barbados

Rihanna is scheduled for a VIP, private party performance in her native Barbados on New Year’s Eve. The event, set to take place at the Sandy Lane Resort, will be hosted by UK’s Global Radio boss Ashley Talbot.

Guests at the annual soiree include X factor USA Judge Simon Cowell and other VIP’s.  X Factor alum The Wanted are also expected to perform, this according to the The Daily Star.

Hopefully she will get a chance to rest and recharge after a grueling tour schedule. With nine dates to go, the LOUD tour will soon end. The 23 year-old who performed in Budapest Hungary on Thursday night (Dec. 8th) will play Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Portugal before returning to the UK on December 20 for three more nights at London’s O2. She’s sold out the O2 eight times for the year so far. Can we say Cha-ching!??!?

Speaking of dough, the trailer for her upcoming movie debut is out. Some are criticizing Battleship, calling it “transformers at sea” and expecting it to totally tank (pun intended). Ummm,  hello it was made by the same folks who did Transformers. Anyways, the trailer doesn’t do much for me in terms of judging the film. I guess I will watch it and see for myself.
