The last time Rihanna was on X Factor she performed “What’s My name” and the show got a lot of complaints about her outfit. I actually loved the outfit and thought it matched the dancing and look of the song. Anyways, she was on the show on Sunday performing “We Found Love”. Looking very school-girl-like and demure in a tartan dress, it would seem that she was complying with the show’s request. Upon closer inspection of her shoe though- a statement of rebellion. The words “F**K OFF” are boldly written on the side.
The shoes were designed by Ashish Gupta in collaboration with the British footwear label Underground. They come with a white ink pen for doodling and in Rihanna’s case, writing expletives. (source)
