Wonder if Jay-Z and Kanye had anything to do with it, after-all Jay-X and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin are BFF’s and Jay-Z is Rihanna’s erm mentor.
Anyways this got me thinking. Well at first I was thinking male collabs in general, but being as this is a Caribbean site, I singled out some Caribbean men that she has worked with. Check them out below:
Vybz Kartel and Rihanna collaborated on “You Don’t Love M (No,No,No)” in 2007
She was featured on Sizzla’s “Give Me A Try” in 2007
Produced by Don corleon on the “High altitude: Riddim, “Break It Off” featuring Sean Paul was released in 2006
“Here I Go Again” is one of my favorites and features J-Status.
I love all of them and like I keep saying she need to do a Reggae/Dancehall/Soca album. For real, for real.
Here’s a more recent attempt to go back to her island roots. Enjoy.
